Our thoughts on Chrysler used cars

First up is the Grand Voyager. This large MPV has been a family favourite for some years now and the introduction of an all-new model in 2008 means the last of the previous shape cars now look very good value indeed. This Grand Voyager improved significantly over its seven-year lifespan with safety systems and engine efficiency being the key recipients of Chrysler's development budget. With a 2.8-litre diesel engine under the bonnet and the clever Stow and Go seating system, the Grand Voyager fulfils its domestic remit with some panache.

The next car to look out for is the Crossfire. After a brief phase when it was wildly popular, Chrysler's distinctive Coupe fell rapidly from fashion, but this means bargains for the used buyer. Standard Crossfire coupes can be found from around £3,000 which, when you consider they're built on Mercedes SLK underpinnings, isn't bad at all. The savagely quick SRT-6 is effectively a rebodied SLK 32 AMG but they're very rare. My final tip is the 300C, more specifically the 300C CRD saloon with the 3.0-litre Mercedes diesel engine. Available from around £7,000, they're great value for money and still turn heads, especially in black. The Touring models aren't quite such a style statement but offer a welcome dose of practicality. The 2008 SRT-Design diesel variant offers all the attitude of the 6.1-litre SRT-8 range-topper without the heart-stopping bills. It's the one to have.
