Most reviewers say it is, with particular attention having been spent on improving the inside. This now boasts a classier and more upmarket look than any previous Megane, as well as several new features, such as an all-new infotainment system (which replaces the outdated R-Link system). Most experts agree that it's pretty good to drive, too, with a choice of four engines on offer (two diesel and two petrol), all of which deliver decent performance, good maneuverability in urban areas and light, confident handling. And the Megane isn't just a good driving experience, it's also very practical, offering a large boot, split-folding rear seats and a roomy cabin with lots of places to store odds and ends. Add to these points the fact that the Megane (and particularly the diesel models) is among the most efficient car in its class, and you have a car that competes extremely well with the other leaders in the sector, such as the VW Golf, the Ford Focus and the Vauxhall Astra.
