When you see a big car with the Range Rover badge, you're expecting refinement and luxury. And, with the Range Rover Sport, you won't be disappointed. It's not only beautifully presented outside and in, but it's crammed with equipment, and full of classy touches, such as lots of swanky Oxford leather. It's good to drive, too. Its 3.0L V6 twin-turbo diesel delivers a quiet and smooth drive which also torquey and keen, while the upgraded (in 2015) version (the SDV6) has even greater power and higher fuel economy, too. However, don't expect to get the economy figures of a small car - after all, the Range Rover's still a big SUV, so you're talking around the 30mpg level, if you don't drive too enthusiastically. On the inside, the Sport is plush and classy, with a high level of tech kit, though some critics claim that the nav and infotainment systems don't really compare favourably with the equivalents from BMW and Audi. There's also tons of cabin space - enough to take seven with ease - while the boot is flexible and easy to access. In all, this car is everything you would expect of a Range Rover - a great mix of class, luxury, performance and off-road ability.
