Northumberland is a county found in the very north east of England. It is the most northern county in England, just south of Scotland and neighbours County Durham, Tyne and Wear and Cumbria. You can also drive out to the Holy Island of Lindisfarne which is sometimes cut off by the tides. A beautiful village and island, it has much to see including the beautiful castle and Lindisfarne Priory along with many wildfowl and nature to see.
Head inland and the county town of Northumberland is Alnwick. Hadrians Wall and the Tyne Valley and the North Pennines are all lovely areas also to visit in this lovely county.
