The Prius isn't really coloured green. Not literally. But perhaps it should be. Because it's been designed and built with the environment in mind, and it's one of the most eco-friendly cars around. Now, don't go thinking that, with the Prius, you're getting a sporting saloon or hatchback such as the BMW 3 Series or Volkswagen Golf GTE. Because you're not. But you will get a car that delivers a smooth and comfortable ride, coupled with very respectable performance (the 1.8L petrol unit will take you from 0 - 62mph in 10.6 seconds). The inside's good, too. True, its aesthetics won't appeal to everyone, but there's no denying they're distinctive, with a futuristic, even slightly space-shippy, look. One advantage of this is the sense of space and tranquility it gives to driver and passengers. The Prius is well-equipped, too, with the Toyota Touch 2 and DAB radio as standard, and a lot of attractive options that include an advanced satnav and the premium JBL sound system (with the Excel model only). So, if you're looking for an ultra-green car which also deliver performance and quality - this may be the answer! Or you may want to consider a used Toyota Prius.
