Now in its 5th generation (it first appeared in 1982) the latest Nissan Micra has had a complete makeover. And the result is impressive. Now competing with the likes of the Volkswagen Polo and Renault Clio, the car's good to look at as well as good to drive, and many reviewers describe it as one of the most improved models of recent years. Plus, they're very frugal. In fact, if you opt for the diesel, you can look forward to getting up to 88.3mpg, though even the petrol engine will give you around 60mpg on the smaller wheels. And, as if this weren't enough, both engines deliver a smooth and comfortable ride. On the inside, the Micra focuses on practicality coupled with quality, with lots of space (its boot is one of the biggest in the supermini class) and a neat, smart finish. What's more, the Micra includes, as standard, an impressive safety kit, which includes Isofix child seat fixings, six airbags, ABS, stability control and seat belt warnings. A glance at the 2018 Nissan Micra
For the past three decades Nissan has sold its Micra in bucket loads. This is partly because it's cheap to buy and easy to drive. This not only makes it appealing to first time car buyers but those that are looking to downsize from larger cars. Our photo shows the latest version it's a difference from the old car.
