It's new, but you'd hardly know it from its styling. In fact, apart from some changes to the grille (it's a bit wider), there's not a whole lot that marks the new version from the old. Underneath, though, it's based on VW's new MSB platform, giving a considerable weight saving against the old car, plus the ability to support all of the latest auto-driving kit from Audi. Inside, you have a car which is top-notch in all ways, whether you're talking design, build-quality or user-friendliness, though some reviewers have commented on the cramped nature of the rear seats. As you find with any Audi, the A5 offers an extensive engine range is extensive, all of which deliver an exceptionally quiet drive and positive handling, and reasonable economy. If you're sensitive to running costs - and who isn't? - the cheapest and most tax-friendly is the 2.0 TDI, which offers (according to Audi) 68.9mpg and 107g/km, which competes well with competing models such as the Mercedes C220d Coupe and BMW 420d. Standard kit with the A5 includes tri-zone climate control, cruise control and a 7" screen for the MMI system. Should I sell my Audi A5 diesel?
I'm currently driving a seven year old Audi A5 S Line in Ibis white. To my knowledge, there's absolutely nothing wrong with my car. It still looks relatively modern and (touch wood) has never let me down. It's perfect for commuting, relatively economical and fits the bill perfectly for my family life. It's not like I fancy something newer or different so why is selling it now a serious consideration? Well, the answer to that is because it's a diesel. Three or four years ago when I was looking at buying this car a prerequisite was that it had to be a diesel. So, why on earth do I want to look at selling it now just because it's a diesel?
