Originally the Audi 80, this sophisticated executive saloon is now in its fifth-generation, and a bestseller in its class. And no wonder, because, as a result of Audi's strategy of endless improvement, the car is now better than ever - and it was pretty good to start with! So, what makes it so impressive? Well, lots of things, really. But one of the most important is its focus on comfort and technology. Offering a smooth, soft and ultra-comfortable drive, the A4 is ideal for those who love a touch of luxury in their cars, though anyone who prefers a super-sporty performance may prefer to check out one of its rivals, such as the BMW 3 series or the Jaguar XE. Not, we should point out, that the A4 is lacking in performance. On the contrary, it offers plenty of performance - partly because its chassis design sets a class record for low drag. Engine-wise, you can select from three TFSI petrol and four TDi diesel models (with power outputs from 148bhp to 269bhp), all with respectable fuel economy, and there are plenty of optional extras to choose from, including a Virtual Cockpit with touchscreen display which makes the excellent infotainment system simple and intuitive to use.

My Audi A4 diesel is worth every penny, I have not had any issues with this car since buying it a few years ago. I have kids and it is a safe car, and smooth to drive. The steering is pleasurable.
