The Focus is undoubtedly one of Ford's most important cars in their history. It first hit our shores way back in 1998 which was roughly the same time that work begun on the Millennium Dome (now more commonly known as the o2). Roll on a couple of decades and it's now well into its third generation.

You can buy a used Ford Focus as a three or five door hatchback and the not so common four-door saloon. The Focus is attractive to buyers due to its excellent performance and handling. Add to this the large cabin space, and boot and what you have is an excellent family car.

If you're in the market to buy a Focus then we'd recommend looking for models that were manufactured after 2010. Although you can still find some great earlier examples, it's from 2010 that Ford restyled the cars and made huge improvements to the interior. In addition to this Ford also improved the engine line up which meant bigger fuel savings.

The Ford Focus remains an appealing option to buyers due to the fact that there are so many different styles, options and trim levels to choose from. As the demand for Ford Focus cars has remained high for so many years the car market is literally flooded with them. What this means is that you should not only have little problem finding the perfect one for you but a bargain shouldn't be out of the question either!
