A VW Golf with a boot. Had new from new so know all about them. The 1.6l petrol engine is good with both high perfomrance and fuel economy. Still have the original battery and exhaust. The car is great, reliable and drives well and handles good. Its fast and can keep up with todays new cars and it is even similar spec and tech to todays new cars as well. Build and body work is good and still no rust. Just get in and go everyday..... 20 years on still a nice car, both inside and out. No issues. Had the clutch changed on one and a sensor, but not much else really except a couple of plug coils. But not bad for 20 years. However 1 issue is the door locks! On both cars most of the door locks have failed and needed to be changed, and this is 3 hours work and a door strip down to do it. Plus the new locks are £220 each, so not cheap. The gear box works well, but could be a little smoother in second gear change.
Overall bodywork. Quality. Just a nice car and after 20 years continuing to be so. Drives great and is out in front. Still up there with any new car. No problems and very reliable. Except for the door locks. I love the steering wheel.
New locks. An additional high end gear. LED lights.
