Jaguar X Type price guide & valuations

It's hard to believe that the Jaguar X Type was launched back in 2001 specifically to rival BMW's best-selling 3 Series. Unfortunately, the X Type quickly ran into problems surrounding build quality that somewhat tarnished the Jaguar brand. In addition to the quality problems the look of the car was perceived to be old fashioned and the lack of a diesel engine didn't help the cause either. However, what the X Type did provide was a very good level of refinement which was well complemented by decent road handling. Apart from the quickly dating looks the only other bad thing you could say about this car was that the space at the rear could have been a little bigger. The X Type was and still is to this day a very comfortable car to drive. It's well equipped too with Bluetooth offered across the range and touchscreen Satnav provided on the SE, Sport Premium and Sovereign models.
