1) Citroen Grand C4 Picasso 1.6 16v HDi 110 EGS
Our reigning MPV of the Year is one of the greenest cars in its class, as well as the most versatile. In Exclusive trim, it gets the accomplished EGS semi-automatic transmission as standard, which makes it even cleaner. It'll also manage an impressive 49.6mpg on average.
2) VW Touran 1.9TDI S 105 (+DPF)
This diesel engine is the same one used in VW's numerous Bluemotion projects, but the Touran is yet to be modified into this eco category. That's no bad thing, as even without longer gearing, aerodynamic tweaks and low-resistance tyres, it's still one of the greenest MPVs around. Sure, the engine isn't refined and the ride can be a touch hard, but low CO2 and NOx emissions, as well as a zero particulate count, make it a great package.
