A famous name in America but one that has never quite risen to the same heights of recognition in the UK, Chrysler has been retailing vehicles on these shores for some time. It means there's a plentiful supply of used cars about from the brand and with a line-up ranging from small family cars to MPVs and coupes, quite a range to choose from.
The Neon was an uncomplicated four-door saloon that propped up the Chrysler range in the UK until 2004. Pre-owned examples of this model can be picked up for next to nothing these days but a more desirable and common option is the PT Cruiser which rides on the Neon chassis. Distinctive styling and keen pricing made the PT Cruiser a significant success for Chrysler and the 2.2-litre CRD diesel models launched in 2002 are the pick of the second hand car range.
Similarly popular is the 300C executive saloon. This car's all-American character and mechanicals borrowed from the Mercedes E-Class made it a distinctive alternative to the usual large saloon suspects. As a used car, the 300C looks more affordable still.
Chrysler's links to Mercedes also spawned the Crossfire coupe and roadster models which are based on the Mercedes SLK. Again, the styling is more striking than beautiful but these sporty two seaters launched in 2003 are around for very reasonable sums on the used second hand car market.
All of which leaves the Voyager and Grand Voyager MPVs which offer plenty of space and a surprising level of luxury in top spec forms. They're a cheap way to buy a used Chrysler family car with space for seven.

300 NOT OUT There are some cars that as soon as they are revealed just become instantly popular. It doesnt matter how lousy they may prove to be - the styling sells them. The Chrysler 300C is one such vehicle, helped by a very low asking price and tried and tested underpinnings. Of course, it helped that the 300C wasnt actually all that bad a steer but that really was secondary. What most people wanted was that bad to the bone shape, with its junior Bentley silhouette and rear view mirror presence that had outside lane dawdlers running for cover up the embankment. Used examples are now beginning to filter onto the market but the 300 is holding its value surprisingly well.
