1. How to us use the search box
Using our search box is easy. Take a few minutes to find out how to use our search tool by clicking here.

2. How to search for a specific car
By selecting your desired make, model,  engine size, mileage, age etc, DesperateSeller.co.uk's search engine will bring back adverts relating to your search options from all makes and models.

3. The best way to start
The best way to start your search is by selecting the make and model of the car you are looking to buy. You can then browse through cars that are catered for you. If you don't have a particular model in mind, just select a car type and browse at your leisure.

4. Narrowing down your search
If you want to narrow down your search to cars that are near where you live, then simply enter a valid UK postcode in the box provided. Then select the distance you are willing to travel to view cars by selecting the mileage distance pull down. Narrow down your search even further by letting us know your budget. You can do this by using the price pull downs to select a minimum and maximum price.

5. Comparing  different models
You can compare several different cars side-by-side using our our “MyShowroom” facility. Simply click on the "MyShowroom" link to view the cars you want to compare.

6. No results
If you carry out a search and you get a "We are unable to locate your vehicle message" this means that we have been unable to locate any cars that exactly match your search. This does not mean that we have no cars that are right for you. You may need to redefine your search in terms of distance, price or mileage etc. If we are still unable to locate any suitable cars for you then you will be directed to our free car finder service where we will alert you as soon as a suitable car becomes available.

7. Problems finding cars in your area
There may not be any cars in the area you specified. Try redefining your search area and search distance. This should help you locate suitable cars in your area more easily.

8. Missing makes or models
Our search facility only displays vehicles that are advertised on the website at that time. Check later as new batches of adverts are uploaded each hour.

9. Private and Trade sellers
Private sellers are individual sellers who are likely to be selling their own used vehicle. Trade advertisers are usually dealerships who sell batches of new and used vehicles.
