Peugeot enjoyed phenomenal success with its 206 supermini up until 2006 when the 207 arrived on the scene. Available in three-door, five-door and SW estate guises, as well as with a folding hard top roof in 207 CC form, this is a substantial and stylish supermini.
Likewise, the 308 is one of the more sophisticated family hatchbacks on the market with a good variety of engine options available in the growing crop of used cars. Its 307 predecessor is also worthy of consideration by used second hand buyers.

The Peugeot, sitting somewhere in the middle with by far the most limited model run looked like it was going to bomb. Badly. Yet trawl the classifieds for used examples of these cars and you’ll find as many 107s as the other two cars put together. It seems that when it comes to sub-supermini type citycars, British customers have a Goldilocks syndrome, and the 107 has proved neither too little nor too much…
