Used Daewoo Cars For Sale

The Daewoo brand's tenure in the UK car market was undeniably short lived. Emerging in the late 90s with a crop of tightly priced family cars hailing from Korea, the game was up for Daewoo by 2004 when its more saleable products were rebadged as Chevrolets. The central appeal of a Daewoo when new was that it was cheap and as used cars, they are even more so.

A historic view on Daewoo

Unremarkable from a styling, driving or quality perspective, Daewoo models campaigned on their pricing and equipment levels. The range opened with the Matiz city car, one of Daewoo's better efforts and a model that would subsequently go on to form a key part of the Chevrolet range. Used cars are reasonably common and the same is true of the larger Kalos supermini which arrived in 2002. Less impressive were the Lanos and Nubira compact saloons while the Leganza, a larger four-door, kept a similarly low profile in the minds of buyers. Used second hand versions of these will be more difficult to come by but predictably cheap. The Tacuma MPV is a more worthwhile second hand car. It's only a five-seater but a spacious one. Pre-owned examples of the Daewoo Musso and Korando 4x4s will be much harder to come by as will what is arguably the best model to carry the Daewoo badge in the UK. The Daewoo Lacetti family hatch was launched a matter of months before the Chevrolet takeover but there will be a few about for those keen to buy a used Daewoo version.
