Vauxhall Insignia 1.8 SRi 5 Dr (2009) - Consumer review

Vauxhall Raised The Bar With The Insignia

I think Vauxhall really raised the bar when it came to the Insignia. I found the insignia to be excellent in almost every way, built like a 3 series and very good value for money. It’s biggest competitor is without doubt the Ford Mondeo. However, for me there is no contest anymore. My Insignia has full heated leather, AFL xenon, sensors and 3D sat nav. If I had to mention a bad point then I would say it’s the 1.8 vvt engine. With hindsight I would have chosen the diesel variant as I’m only averaging 25-27 mpg! It’s also a very good family car. It’s got a fantastic amount of space and will give all the family a very comfortable journey wherever you’re going. I would recommend the Vauxhall Insignia to anyone be them a sales rep or family man!

Slow On Motorways

My Vauxhall Corsa is fine for every day short trips, but I would not recommend if you do lots of long distance travel, as the car cannot keep up on the motorway. Asides from that the car has been reliable and there is plenty space inside. The Vauxhall Insigna is nice to look at, and is fine for every day use.
