This was my third FOCUS since September 1996, my first 2 were brand new ones, this one was bought as I had an accident in the second one, and Ive had this one nearly 2 years.... I bought the car for three reasons, 1 it was a Focus, and it is the safest hatch on the road, I was told that after my accident.... 2, the colour, its a beautiful Blue, I recon the best Blue Ford done, Ive seen a couple about and it stands out really well when buffed up, considering the car is on a 03 plate the body is really good, and the interior is so comfortable with half leather seats, a pleasure to drive... 3, my second Focus from new on a 54 plate had done just on 100,000, this one has now done just under 54.000 and has every stamp in the book, and Ive just had a full Ford service done, and it runs a dream. Thats my car, for anyone whos driven a Focus will know that they are a very tight car with good response, all the controls are within easy reach, and the gear changing is effortless, the ST even more so, nice dash easy to see dials, and they are white to give it a sporty look, 6 disc system with steering wheel controls, really good Air Conditioning, mine has the comfort pack, which you can set temp to your liking, there is a 6 gear box, so 70mph under 3000 rpm, or the quick nip past a Sunday driver is no problem, the car holds the road well with little overdrive, Ive done a couple of longish drives and the seats are comfortable with a lumba support..... all in all a really good hatchback, and the ST170 you could call a Hot Hatch, if, it was made to look a bit more sexy.
Without a doubt its the heated windscreen, once youve had one you will never be without one. Nice size, no wasted space with good boot space. Comfortable drive with good vision
The shelf under the steering column, it was that what caused my broken leg in my accident, I would take it out because its a waste and not used. the wing mirrors or ford "bat wings" could be little smaller, but thats being picky
